Definitions

Customer means any individual, homeowner, landlord, tenant, business, organisation, or other party engaging the Company for Services or Goods.
Services means any plumbing, electrical, heating, maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, call-out, emergency attendance, or related work carried out by the Company.
Goods means any products, materials, components, fixtures, fittings, or equipment supplied by the Company.
Order means any booking, quotation acceptance, instruction, or request for Services or Goods.
Working Day means Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays in England and Wales.
Quotations and Estimates
All quotations and estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time.
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Estimated pricing may change where:
– Additional faults or works are identified
– Customer requirements change
– Access issues or unforeseen site conditions arise
– Material or supplier costs increase
The Company reserves the right to revise quotations before work commences if circumstances change.
Bookings and Call-Outs
Bookings are subject to availability.
Emergency and same-day appointments cannot be guaranteed.
The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where:
– Safe access cannot be obtained
– The environment is considered unsafe
– Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour occurs
– Required parts or materials are unavailable
– Circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent attendance
Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
– Provide accurate information regarding the requested works
– Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property
– Ensure that utilities including electricity and water are available where required
– Remove or protect valuables, furnishings, and sensitive equipment near the work area
– Obtain any required permissions, landlord approvals, or building consents where applicable
The Company is not liable for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access or inaccurate information provided by the Customer.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Payment terms are agreed at the time of booking or quotation.
Payment may be required:
– In advance
– Upon completion of works
– In staged payments for larger projects
The Company reserves the right to request deposits for materials, specialist equipment, or larger installations.
Late payments may result in:
– Suspension of ongoing works
– Cancellation of future appointments
– Recovery costs and interest charges where legally applicable
Materials and Goods
Any Goods supplied remain the property of the Company until paid for in full.
Where specific products or materials become unavailable, the Company reserves the right to supply suitable alternatives of equivalent quality and functionality.
The Company is not responsible for manufacturer delays, discontinued items, or supplier shortages.
Delivery and Timescales
Attendance times, installation dates, and completion schedules are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
The Company is not liable for delays caused by:
– Traffic or travel disruption
– Supplier or manufacturer delays
– Adverse weather conditions
– Access restrictions
– Third-party contractors
– Circumstances beyond reasonable control
Cancellations and Rescheduling
The Customer must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling where reasonably possible.
The Company reserves the right to charge for missed appointments, late cancellations, wasted journeys, or time already allocated to the booking.
Deposits paid for special-order materials or scheduled installation works may be non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced.
Associated Companies and Subcontractors
During periods of high demand, specialist requirements, or geographical limitations, the Company may share relevant Customer details with carefully selected associated companies, subcontractors, or service partners for the purpose of arranging quotations, scheduling works, or completing requested services.
Any third party engaged by the Company is expected to operate professionally and in accordance with applicable UK laws and regulations.
Warranty and Liability
The Company warrants that Services will be carried out using reasonable care and skill.
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to supplied Goods and equipment where applicable.
The Company is not liable for:
– Pre-existing faults or defects
– Hidden pipework, wiring, or structural issues
– Damage caused by ageing systems or previous poor workmanship
– Loss of earnings, business interruption, or consequential loss
– Delays outside the Company’s reasonable control
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Customer Supplied Materials
Where the Customer supplies their own materials, fixtures, fittings, or equipment, the Company accepts no responsibility for product defects, compatibility issues, delays, or warranty claims relating to those items.
Additional labour charges may apply where Customer supplied items are unsuitable or defective.
